Summerhouse on a remote island in the outskirts of Stockholm.
The house is organized by two volumes connected by a small link. The volumes are placed so they adapt to the landscape and are held together by a connecting roof, following the angle of the existing slope. By making a small displacement the volumes define, semi-protected outdoor areas for private use.
The back facade is heavy and closed, constructed by concrete blocks. The front facade is light and open, glazed towards the water. In contrast to the light concrete blocks, other closed surfaces are clad with wooden panel.
